Chapter Seven

Alexander never would have thought it was possible for him to feel this sort of heart-wrenching happiness again in his life.

Even though the alphas outside of the estate still wanted the both of them dead, more so than usual, he couldn’t help but be content when Bellamy finished putting his scent all over him.

Of course, being the human that he was, he wanted a shower immediately after.

Alexander wasn’t having that. The water wouldn’t entirely wash away the scent that was all over the both of them, and he could easily put it back on again, but for the moment, he didn’t want his neck washed.

For that, he suggested a bath.

That seemed to really get a positive response from Bellamy. His eyes widened, and he even went so far as to ask if there were candles in the house.

There were many candles, and the soft glow in the overly large bathroom as they both held each other in the deep tub was entirely too romantic. It might even give him a toothache for how sweet it all seemed, but he loved it, and he couldn’t help but kiss and lick at Bellamy’s neck as the man leaned his back against Alexander’s chest.

Of course, they couldn’t simply leave it at that. Bellamy got to be incredibly playful in the water, and soon he was turned around, making the soapy water slosh around as he climbed onto Alexander’s lap and rode him.

Alexander loved watching his mate’s back arch as he pleasured himself on Alexander’s cock, and he couldn’t help but growl appreciatively when Bellamy even leaned down to put biting kisses on Alexander’s throat.

His mate was a human, but it seemed that he learned quickly.

When they got out of the tub, drying each other off and still giving affectionate touches and kisses wherever they could, Alexander knew he needed to start thinking about the future as they brushed their teeth beside each other in front of the large sink.

It was all very domestic.

Which, as pleasing as it was, was not enough to keep him from worrying. It was hard enough to survive as a lone wolf, but he had a mate now to think about as well. He had to take into account that he wouldn’t always be there to protect Bellamy, that his human mate would want to go out into the world again when all of this was done.

He was going to need more than the scent of his alpha mate on him if Alexander wanted to make sure he was protected. He was going to need the scent of a pack on him wherever he went.

They carried the candles with them as they walked through the large house and back to the kitchen. Alexander thought of the things he would need to take with them, what he could leave behind, and he contemplated whether or not he should keep the house at all, fix it up to be something much more livable.

“There’s a new pack of luna werewolves in the area,” he said.
